BACKPACKING INTINERARY

WALKING MINDFULLY, ONE STEP AT A TIME

DAY 1

We’ll begin our adventure at the Stratton Pond Trail parking lot with a pack and gear check before hitting the trail. Our 4.5-mile hike, with 200 feet of elevation gain, takes about 3 hours with a lunch break on "table rock" as we make our way to Stratton View Campsite & set up our basecamp where we will be for the next 2 nights.

At camp, we’ll set up tents, enjoy our backpacking meal, and unwind with an optional lakeside meditation near the pond. If conditions allow, we’ll enjoy a cozy campfire.

As the evening settles in, relax with your solar lantern (provided), read, journal, or simply soak in the sounds of nature, including the calls of loons and geese. Trail meditation will be woven throughout the day to enhance your connection to the wilderness.

DAY 2

Wake up for breakfast & a simple meditation - grab our much lighter backpack and we’ll set out to summit Stratton Mountain. At the top, you’ll have the option to climb the historic fire tower for stunning panoramic views of Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and surrounding mountain ranges.

We’ll enjoy lunch beneath the trees at the summit, soaking in the tranquility and, on sunny days, watching clouds drift lazily across the sky. Afterward, we’ll hike back to our campsite, where a hot meal and a relaxing evening await. If conditions allow, we’ll gather around a campfire, with options for meditation, journaling, or simply unwinding under the stars.

Daily Stats: 8 miles round trip, ~3 hours each way, 1,500 feet of elevation gain.

DAY 3

Start your morning with an optional coffee and sunrise meditation by the pond—perfect for early risers seeking a serene start to the day. After breakfast, we’ll break camp, pack up our gear, and hike 4.5 miles along the Stratton Pond Trail to our vehicles.

On the way home, we’ll make a stop at one of Vermont’s charming farm stands, where you can browse a selection of fresh-baked goods, seasonal produce, and local treats to enjoy as a lunch snack or take home. A perfect end to our time immersed in the beauty of Vermont!

"With no prior experience, I willingly arose at 5am to follow Kimber onto rock and root littered trails in the dark, because she made it sound like an enjoyable and Zen thing to do. My faith has been rewarded 1,000 times since."
